2012 Asphalt Mill and Overlay Project Resident Letter and Schedule Updates

The Mill and Overlay Project has been tentatively scheduled to begin on May 18 and run through June 6, 2012, weather permitting. This will include resurfacing 23 streets in our City. This process will involve the milling and removal of certain portions of the driving surface and asphalt overlay of the entire driving surface. Please see attached the tentative schedule dates for the project in this same section of “In the News”.

Request for Proposals for Operation of Sappington Barn Center

The City of Crestwood, Missouri is soliciting proposals for the operation of the Sappington Barn Center. This facility has previously been operated as a restaurant. However, at this time, the City of Crestwood is soliciting proposals for any type of operation of the facility, which may or may not contain a restaurant component. Potentail uses include winery, bicycle store or repair shop, specialty store, rental/catering facility, etc.

Free movie @ Whitecliff Aquatic Center

Everyone start off your Memorial Weekend right and stay after hours for a FREE movie at the competition pool! Whitecliff Aquatic Center will be showing the movie Jaws (rated PG) on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 8:30pm. The pool opens at 7:30 and concessions will be available for purchase. We hope to see everyone there!

25 Annual Senior Mayfest Dance

Come celebrate the Nation Older Americans Month at the 25th Annual Mayfest Dance on Friday, May 18, 2012. The dance will be held from 7 to 10 pm, at the Crestwood Community Center and will feature the music of the Mello-Tones. Soda, snacks and door prizes are included in your ticket cost. Tickets will be available beginning Tuesday, April 17, 2012 and must be purchased in advance by Wednesday, May 16 at the Crestwood Community Center. Tables can be reserved in groups of eight. Co-sponsored by the Crestwood Community Center and the South County Older Resident Program (CORP).

Starting April 30, 2012 stop by the Crestwood Community Center to register for swim lessons. We offer a variety of levels and times throughout the summer. Swim lessons go from June 11- August 6 and are $48/Resident and $60/Non-Resident. Whitecliff Aquatic Center also offers private lessons from June 11-August 6.
