Interested in adopting a dog or cat? As you begin your search, don’t forget to stop by the shelter in Whitecliff Park. A surprising 45 – 55 percent of the animals picked up by Animal Control each year are strays, so there are usually animals on hand for you to see.
Animals are held at the shelter for 10 days. Microchips are traced and owners are contacted, any way possible. If unclaimed, they are vaccinated, checked and treated for parasites and viruses, and spayed or neutered, if necessary. They are then placed for adoption. Adopters are expected to reimburse Friends of Animals for these costs. Costs will vary.
Adopters must sign an adoption contract releasing the City of Crestwood from any post-adoption responsibility. Crestwood does not knowingly adopt any animals with aggressive tendencies or health issues.

We currently have only 1 kitten remaining from Spring of 2012. We also have several adult cats that need new homes. They have been acclimated to kids, other cats and even to dogs, so check out the website and give us a call! 314-729-4868.
All are spayed or neutered, have been checked by a veterinarian and had their vaccinations, as well as microchipped for identification.
2013 kittens have arrived!

As in most years, we have an abundance of little black kittens, so far 5, 2 females and 3 males! In addition, we have 2 little gray tabbies ( both male) and one solid gray male. All have been checked by the vet, but have not yet had any vaccines because they aree too young.
