The City Clerk’s Office maintains and distributes official records for the City, including minutes, ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other vital documents and files official notices and advertisements. The City Clerk authenticates, by signature, all ordinances and resolutions. Additionally, the City Clerk administers the Oath of Office to elected officials, swears in elected officials, police officers and other employees. The City Clerk also prepares and certifies the ballot and can register voters. Additionally, the City Clerk’s Office issues municipal business licenses and liquor licenses.
