Roy Robinson was elected Mayor of Crestwood on April 5, 2005, and was sworn into office on April 26, 2005. He was re-elected on April 8, 2008 and was sworn into office for his second term on April 22, 2008. He and his wife of 42 years, Joan, have lived in Crestwood for 31 years. During that time, he has been involved in the community by participating as: a member of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) at Long Middle School; Committee Chairman for Cub and Boy Scouts; Neighborhood Watch Chairman in Ward 3; Ward 3 representative to the Crestwood Police Board; and an Alderman from Ward 3 from 1988-1992.

Mayor Robinson earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska, majoring in criminal justice and political science. His over 42 years of experience in management and supervision in the federal government includes work as a military cartographer, criminal investigator and aeronautical information specialist. He is retired from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, located in St. Louis.
